In an effort to diversify the profile of applicants, the British Intelligence Services, the MI5, has been approaching the LGBT, through the gay equality organisation Stonewall. As other public services, the MI5 has understood the necessity to be a gay-friendly employer, a way of attracting the talents from the LGBT community. The international situation is pushing the MI5 to recruit staff from more diversified communities and backgrounds.
At the same times the MI5 is encouraging their spies to be openly gay.
A sign that changes are coming even in institutions where you would least expect them !
