The head of the American channel NBC publicly apologized for censoring the Australian Olympic champion Matthew Mitcham, who won a diving gold medal against the Chinese in the Beijing Olympics.
While many champions story were covered, the channel deliberately forgot Matthew. Too shocking, after the national anthem hugged both his mother and boyfriend Lachlan ! Matthew was the only openly-gay competitor in these Olympics. An amazing performance against the Chinese who grabbed all diving gold medals except the 10 metres. A gorgeous 20 years-old champion for the whole community and a definitely missed opportunity for NBC…
