Launch of the 2008 gay carnival

The 2008 Taipei gay carnival started last Saturday and will last until the end of September. The Gay Pride on Saturday September 27 will be the highlight of the carnival. 20000 people are expected during this edition. The first edition in 2003 had gathered only 1000 participants. The local community has actually developped these last years and the gay establishments are packed with young uninhibited youth.
