THE HIGHLANDS INN

The HIGHLANDS INN is a premier women's resort on 100 private acres in New Hampshire's beautiful year-round vacation area, the White Mountains. The 19 romantic guest rooms are furnished with antiques, fine linens, fresh flowers, and original artwork, creating the ambiance of a Victorian country home. Noted for its welcoming, congenial atmosphere, the Inn has served the women's community with quality and distinction since 1983.

The Inn offers a variety of special events throughout the year. The annual Women's Concert Series, now in its eighth year, presents free concerts to guests. Other popular events include Thanksgiving and New Years packages and the annual Murder Mystery Weekend. Area attractions include fine restaurants, summer theater, skiing and other winter activities, and virtually all warm-weather sports.

Grace Newman is the owner and full-time Innkeeper. She bought the 100-acre property in 1983 and opened The Highlands Inn with one building, the Main Inn building. Since then she has added guest accommodations in two other buildings: the Farmhouse, which has 5 guest rooms, and the rustic Cottage. Grace was born and educated in the Boston area. Her main interests outside the Inn include getting together with her family and friends and traveling with her partner.

Large lesbian/gay video collection and library. 15 miles of trails on property for hiking, cross-country skiing, mountain biking, snowshoeing. Wireless internet access in common areas. 2 large whirlpool spas; one is indoors and one is outside near the pool area. Several rooms have a private deck, a fireplace, or a 2-person spa.

Located in Bethlehem, New Hamsphire, in the heart of the White Mountains. The Inn is midway between Boston, Massachusetts and Montreal, Quebec. It is 150 miles north of Boston and 175 miles south of Montreal.
Just 2 miles from Interstate Highway 93, the main north/south highway from Boston. The closest airports are Boston, MA and Manchester, NH (100 miles south of Bethlehem).
