THE COOPER HOUSE B&B INN is one of Angels Camp's most unique homes. Built in 1911 for Dr. George P. Cooper, his family, and his medical practice, which served the gold mining community. Today the house has been carefully restored to its original Craftsman Style, filled with beautiful antiques, original art by local artists & treasures from near and far. The magnificent greenstone fireplace (in the Great Room) serves as the focal point for gatherings. The spacious veranda overlooks the garden path winding down to the grapevine covered gazebo. There are so many fun activities to do in Angels Camp, 17 wineries within fifteen minutes, skiing, Moaning Caverns, art galleries, antique shops, white-water rafting down the Stanislaus River or hiking among the giant sequoias. |
