SPARTACVS opened for business on the 1 st September 2007, and has quickly attracted many gay men from around the world. There is complete privacy and quietness from the outside street, so guests can freely walk around the hotel grounds with little or no clothing.
Spartacvs has several types of accommodation, starting from the 4 Standard Rooms located on the first floor, 6 Deluxe Rooms directly below on the ground floor, 1 Superior Garden Room located near the restaurant & bar areas, 1 Superior Pool Side Room adjacent to the pool & jacuzzi and finally 1 two bedroom Villa. All rooms have a/c with their own en-suite bathroom.
SPARTACVS is a gay "Men Only" hotel with a staff of 20 to cater for all needs.
Spartacvs is owned by a retired Australian and his Indonesian partner.

We had a wonderful time in Spartacus in Kuta. A delightfull place, with plenty of delicious local exotic food such as gado-gado (veggies with peanut sauce), satay (grilled beef on wooden sticks), nasi goreng (=fried rice, vegetarian) and a nice bar with plenty of cheap locally produced alcoholic drinks. A bit pricy for the rooms, but the cleaning ladies and the bar servants were very sweet and helpful, with big smiles, all the time. That's why Henry (my husband) always chooses boutique-hotels, they are so much better value. More sophisticated, stylish and always willing to please. I was a bit concerned about the clothing-optional publicity I saw on some websites, but I only saw one guy taking a jump in the pool totally naked late at night (thanks God the kids were sleeping !). So nothing to worry about, this can happen back at home too ! Otherwise, during the day, it was great, people behaved very decent and polite, and were well dressed (although one guy was wearing only a string!). Our two kids enjoyed all the toys to play in the pool and the video-games in the evening in the bar. In the late afternoon/early evening there are many young local lads coming to socialize with the customers – the owner of the hotel nicely introduces them to his guests, they like to chat about their family in Java and Sumatra and I felt sorry for the problems they have in Bali to pay for the rent of their room or their studies or their sick mother back at home. We learned a lot about social realities in Indonesia.
Me, Henry and the kids had a great time, so did the other Aussie couple with their kids (from Melbourne, we will visit them for X-mas). We will go back whenever we can afford it and we dearly loved Spartacus, thanks to the Aussie owner and his lovely Indonesian wife and their three beautiful children. Highly recommended ! Nice place, but naked suntanning somehow limited, but not impossible. My husband and the kids enjoyed the pool a lot. Several gay stay there, but open to all. Great service at reasonable price in their restaurant. Recommended ! Sonia/NZ
