RETRO SCHUBERT RESORT

The legendary RETRO SCHUBERT RESORT is one of the largest "All Male Clothing Optional Men's Resorts" in Fort Lauderdale. While extensively renovated lately, the retro look of the resort has been maintained as it did when built back in 1953, and boasts some of the largest hotel accommodations with the average suite being 450 square feet.
The resort has a total of 31 studios and suites including the famed "Plaza Suite" which is over 800 square feet and is a 1 bedroom unit with living area, bedroom area with King bed, dinning and kitchen area, 1 1/2 baths and also has a mini business centre and large private courtyard which comes with a private hot tub for the use of the Plaza Suite Guests only.
The grounds of the Retro Schubert Resort are lush and tropical being totally enclosed which makes sunning "au natural" by the pool and 10-man hot tub not something you have to worry about.
Each of the suites is richly decorated following a retro look of the 1950's art deco appeal with art work, sofas, work desk and wet bar areas. The bathrooms are modern and done in Italian marble with some suites having Jacuzzi tubs and private courtyards.
The resort has won many awards and recognitions, such as Five Star Out and About Award, The Superior Small Lodging White Glove Award. Recently voted the Number 1 out of 135 hotels both gay and straight in Fort Lauderdale with the Trip Advisor Popularity Index.

The Retro Schubert Resort is directed by Tony Dee, who began his career as a barber, and grew to a number of men's hair style salons across Long Island. In 1970 he sells the salons and moves to a warmer climate of South Florida and starts to dabble in Real Estate. In 1991 Tony Dee and a long time friend create what becomes an internationally known restaurant and lounge named "Chardees" and brings to Fort Lauderdale its first true gay supper club. It was love at first sight when Tony saw the Schubert Resort and with a dream he had of having a "All Male Resort" with class and comfort.
The resort is managed by James Bliss. All of James's business life has been in the Travel and Hospitality Industry working with Princess Cruise Lines onboard the original Love Boat the Pacific Princess. James has also worked with several airlines being a flight attendant in the beginning and worked his way to becoming Station Manager for Canada 3000 Airlines. He moved from Toronto to Fort Lauderdale forming an Event Management Service Corporation which lead him to The Retro Schubert Resort and Tony Dee.
You are most likely to meet Glenn, Ron and Jay on the front desk and reservations. Carmen, Victor, David and Stanley in Housekeeping along with Tim who takes great care in the resorts trees, plants and flowers and tending to anything that needs to be handled in the guest suites.

WIFI wireless internet system and a guest computer located in the lobby area. An extended complimentary breakfast each day. On weekends, a "Happy Hour Social" to meet other guests and new friends. One of the staff members lives on the property and is available for any issue or emergency.
