Gay marriage earns public support

Gay marriage opponents gathered enough signatures for a referendum to be held on the issue next November, although votes should favor the gay community. A majority of Californians would be against the prohibition of marriage between people of the same sex. Protestant bishops also declared they were in favor of maintaining agy marriage. Their view is that gay marriage does not undermine heterosexual marriage and above all that Jesus asks us to love and not to hate each other. To be continued..
