DEXTER'S INN

DEXTER'S INN is a traditional Cape Cod Guest House. The house is steeped in Provincetown history. In the early 1800's the site was part of a farm that supplied draft horses for local work. Because of its proximity to the Provinctown Harbor, it was later converted into a fish salting and drying compound, explaining the high content of salt scattered throughout the property to this day. Around the turn of the century, the various buildings on the property were joined together, establishing one large dwelling. The property was converted into individual apartments around Workd War II and house some of the American Military who were stationed in town during the duration of the war. In the early 70's this historic building was established as a guest house.

Your host are John, Dennis and John are from New York City. They have owned Dexter's for 12 years. Dennis was a professional Broadway dancer, John A. a professional Broadway Stage Manager and John Q. the hairdresser to the stars. They were all in Theater for years and have stories to tell.
