DAR SOULAHFA

DAR SOULAHFA is a beautifully renovated riad arranged around an open courtyard. It provides three double bedrooms, 3 shower or bathrooms, a salon, further sitting and dining areas and a large roof terrace. The house is let on a sole occupancy basis only providing privacy and exclusive use of all amenities.
The ground floor offers a double bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen is set up for the use of the housekeeper/cook who can provide all the meals taken in the house. A plunge pool in situated in the open courtyard, essential when the temperatures rise.
The main living space is on the first floor with two further bedrooms. A sitting area and dinning place open through traditional arches to a balcony overlooking the pool below. Also on this level is a stunning salon decorated in Moroccan style. All bedrooms have air-conditioning and heating.
A large roof terrace with berber tent to provide relief from the mid-day sun, an outdoor shower, lots of space for private sunbathing and a dining table ideal for breakfast or dinner.
The staff are extremely friendly and will do all they can to ensure your stay is as comfortable and rewarding as possible.

The owners are Stuart, an Interior Designer and Neil, a private GP. They live in London's Little Venice. They first visited Marrakech 4 years ago with some friends, we returned alone and bought Dar Soulahfa. They have tried their best to create places to stay that have style, charm and comfort.

The rental of the house includes a housekeeper who provides breakfast, makes beds and cleans the house daily. She is happy to do laundry and any other domestic duties. She can also provide dinner at a cost of 150dirhams (£9) per head, she is a fantastic cook and her traditional Moroccan food far surpasses any retaurant, this is an oportunity to eat real, seasonal Moroccan food. There is also a maid to assist with the daily housekeeping. In addition there is a houseman who will meet you at the airport, serve all meals taken in the house, he can also purchase wine and beer on your behalf as well as beeing available to show you the sights if you wish. He is a good driver and is happy to hire a car and drive if you want to venture out of the city. His wage is an additional cost of 100dirhams per day (£6)

In the very heart of the ancient Medina, in a safe and quite area mostly populated by Morrocan families. However you arrive in the city you will be met by the houseman who will ease you into the very different and friendly culture.

Hoogseizoen / laagseizoen : Marrakech is popular all year and due to this we do not alter our pricing except for Christmas and New Year where a small premium is charged. Payments from outside of UK will need to be by Bank Transfer with costs met by the client.
