France to ask for universal decriminalisation of homosexuality

The French Secretary of State for Human Rights, Rama Yade, declared she is going to submit a draft declaration at the UN calling for the universal decriminalisation of homosexuality. France will appeal the UN on behalf of the European Union, whose presidency France holds until December.
