First gay marriage in the state of Connecticut

Beth Bye, elected in the state of Connecticut and her friend Tracey Wilson, is the first gay and lesbian couple to benefit from the new legal measures allowing marriage for homosexual citizens in the state.
The Supreme Court has finally authorized marriage as prohibiting it was a violation of the constitutional rights of the citizens. “We are simply happy to have the same rights as heterosexual couples,” said Beth Bye.
