Bachar, an leading member of the Iraqis in Exile association Iraqi LGBT was savagely killed by 4 men in the centre of Bagdad.
Ali Hili, who manages the association in London thinks he had been spotted by the militia and that his killing would not have been possible without the complicity of the Iraqi authorities. 400 people have reportedly been assasinated due to their sexual orientation or their serological status since the American intervenion. The association will try to continue its mission and is presently protecting 47 gays or hiv-positive people in secret places.
